Lisa is an internationally trained Physical Therapist from Auckland, New Zealand. She graduated with excellence from Auckland University of Technology in 2015, where she was awarded a scholarship to conduct research alongside the New Zealand Water Polo team. Previously, Lisa obtained her Kinesiology degree from Otago University in 2010. Coming from an athletic background, it was her dream to pursue a career in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
In her early career she worked with a diverse population, ranging from elite athletes to weekend warriors. She enjoys working with those who require assistance in recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, and aims to empower her clients with the appropriate tools to make a full recovery. Lisa has a passion for running-related injuries as well as Women's Health where she specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction. However, Lisa’s skill set is not limited to these areas.
Lisa has also worked in the chronic pain setting, and had the privilege to assist the well-regarded chronic pain doctor, Dr. Janz. It is here she learned the importance of patient-centered care, and the therapeutic alliance. Lisa values her client's story, and endeavors to advocate for her clients wherever the healing journey takes them. Lisa values a team-based approach, and promotes working alongside the interdisciplinary team. This means that whatever the day brings, the patients' needs will be addressed and met accordingly.
