JENNIFER DUNN

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTITIONER & ACUPUNCTURIST

Jennifer Dunn Moynes has been practicing and teaching Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture since 2004. She graduated from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson BC, where she went on to become one of the main instructors and clinical supervisors for students for over 15 years.

Jennifer combines Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Tuina Massage, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Gua Sha therapies in her treatment plans. Post-graduate studies in the art of Cupping and Tuina Therapy, a Chinese style of massage, has helped to enhance her treatment strategies. After years of training hundreds of students clinically, she has found that
this combination offers the best treatment and clinical results.

Jennifer has been prescribing traditional Chinese herbal medicinals since 2004. Herbal consultations are about 30-45 minutes long, and can be done in person or virtually. Patients can use herbs to compliment treatment strategies and to benefit health. In TCM we use herbs to balance the internal body so that we can treat the root of a disease pattern, thereby changing the underlying cause of illness. Herbs speed up recovery, enhance overall health, and reduce stubborn symptoms.

Jennifer has worked and taught extensively with patients in the areas of: soft tissue injury, neurology, headaches, disorders of the eyes, ears, nose and throat, dermatology, cardiology, respirology, immunology, insomnia, digestive/gastro-intestinal complaints, psycho-emotional complaints, urinary disorders, gynecology/menstrual disorders, infertility, pregnancy and
postpartum disorders, male sexual dysfunction, palliative care and pediatrics.

Jennifer has been registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture BC since 2001, and has been a committee member with the College since 2019. She has experience working in private and professional clinics, in hospitals and long term care settings, and doing home visits for pregnant and palliative patients. She welcomes patients of all
backgrounds, and strives to make healthcare accessible to everyone in the community!
