Dr. Dee Anne Gelinas, Chiropractor

Dr. Dee Anne Nadeau was born and raised in Nelson, BC. After graduating high school, she went on to complete her degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.  Having always had a passion for studying anatomy and physiology of the body, Dr. Dee knew she wanted to pursue a career in the health care field and this first degree was merely a stepping stone to something she always dreamed of.

With careful deliberation and research, and recalling her experience with a skilled sports practitioner who helped her through all of her own personal sports injuries while in Vancouver, Dr. Dee decided on the field of Chiropractic.

In 2003, Dr. Dee moved to Toronto to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Pursuing a strong interest in sports medicine and nutrition, Dr. Dee dedicated herself to taking extra courses along the way to specialize in sports therapy. Soon after graduating in 2007, an opportunity opened up in Nelson and she made the journey back home to practice. With her own love and passion for sports, water, and the outdoors Dr. Dee could not be happier to be back in Nelson doing what she loves to do.

Dr. Brodie Nadeau, Chiropractor

Dr. Brodie Nadeau's interest in health care began with an Undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Immunology from Western University which then transitioned into Graduate education at the University of Toronto in a Cancer Research laboratory in the field of Molecular & Medical Genetics.  While appreciative of the great importance of this line of work, Dr. Brodie desired to be on the front lines of health care where he could positively impact people's lives more directly.

Talking with members of the profession and drawing on his own chiropractic experiences Dr. Brodie knew a career as a chiropractor would be an amazing life experience.  He too graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2007, as a classmate of Dr. Dee.

Originally from small-town Ontario, where he was the owner and operator of a multidisciplinary health care clinic, Dr. Brodie decided to make the move to Nelson after many enjoyable visits where he was inspired by the commitment to healthy living by its citizens.  As someone who has always enjoyed being physically active, Dr. Brodie is excited to offer his expertise to help keep Nelsonites mobile in their places of work, sport, and pleasure.

Amy Craft, RMT

Amy Craft is proud to be a Kootenay born-and-raised registered massage therapist. The path to her career started in 1999, when she took a local Hospice volunteer course and joined a palliative massage class for laymen. After learning a bit more about massage, Amy decided to enroll in the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, in which she graduated valedictorian in 2003.

After graduation, Amy moved back to the Kootenays, where she set up her own business in Castlegar. For 10 years she was owner and operator of her own clinic. This gave Amy a great deal of experience with customer service, clinical thinking, and a broad client base. Previous continuing education courses include myofascial techniques, osteopathic techniques, evidence-based low back pain treatment and introduction to mood and sleep disorders.

Since moving to the Nelson area, Amy is excited for the next chapter of her practice. Running her own business was successful and rewarding, but she decided it was time to enjoy the multi-disciplinary setting offered at Vitality clinic. In her spare time, Amy enjoys gardening, playing “third” on a curling team, long walks, reading and an active social life with beloved friends and family.

Lila Taylor, RMT

Lila Taylor is a true Kootenay girl born at the end of the road in Johnsons Landing. Lila comes from a family of massage therapists, but it wasn't until taking a massage course in Thailand after high school that she became passionate about massage therapy. Lila graduated from Okanagan School of Massage Therapy in 2013, and has since done courses in osteopathic and fascial techniques as well as therapeutic exercise for the spine.

Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication, Lila enjoys building relationships with her clienta and assisting them in their specific goals. She loves working with clients to alleviate pain and bring relief to issues of chronic discomfort and is always blown away at how the client's body is able to heal and utilizes her expertise to assist in the healing process.

When her husband isn't roping her into renovation projects, Lila finds her self most happy at home and adventuring in the outdoors. She is an avid hiker, skier and prefers to spend most of her time outside with her dogs..
